When bickering couple Jack and Stephanie find themselves broken down in the backwoods of Alabama, they are forced to take refuge at the Wayside Inn where they meet a second couple equally bewildered by the forbidding hotel. As night falls, a demon named Tin Man arrives, boasting that he murdered God and wants another body before dawn and the couples must search for weapons to combat him, soon finding their past sins coming back to haunt them.
