This film follows the intrepid expedition of two robots dubbed Spirit and Opportunity who were designed to take off from Earth travel 300 million miles in seven months, land at precise points on the surface of Mars then deploy themselves to collect photographic data and send it back to Earth. The mission was a rousing success with the amazing discovery of the previous existence of water on the planet.
