When Audrey loses her husband in a random act of violence, she forges an unlikely friendship with Jerry, her husband's best friend. Jerry is a heroin user whose addiction has destroyed everything in his life but Audrey discovers that Jerry is the only person who can help her survive her loss and likewise she is the only one who can help him overcome his problems.
