This coming-of-age story is told in both the present and the past about Dito’s upbringing in the rough streets of Astoria, N.Y. during the 1980s. Dito’s father is dying and as he plans his homecoming with his estranged family he thinks back on a life that he feels was saved from his friend’s fates of death or prison by various saints.
