In his desert laboratory, biochemist Professor Gerald Deemer (Leo G. Carroll) is trying to solve the world's food problems develops a nutrient that will increase animal growth. An experimental spider injected with this nutrient grows to the size of a city block and ravages the countryside until destroyed in a fiery climax.
